It's actually quite sad that we live in a country where superb service is applauded rather than accepted as the norm.
That said, I can't help but congratulate you guys on what can be referred to as the best service I've received in ages.
Noticing the 2-3days shipping on Monday, I was was fully expecting my order to be ready at best, by the end of the week.
I was also only expecting to receive confirmation of my payment the following day, being a bank transfer, possibly pushing out the expected date to next week.
Great that I received constant, and unobtrusive, status updates throughout the process.
Even better that my order's payment was confirmed a few minutes after placing the order.
The cherry on top: receiving a final status update indicating goods ready for collection an hour later!
Now at this point I was already well impressed, and expecting to worst when arriving at an internet retailer's business address.
But the great service just kept on coming.
Even staff leaving the office at the point of arriving were pleasant and courteous.
No one was available at the main desk, but a quick hello to the first person I could find resulted in me being attended to ASAP.
Even this person who had no responsibility it seemed to assist me, was pleasant and helpful. Very rare, and very cool.
Once I confirmed my order number then, my order was ready with my copy of the invoice already in my bag ready to go. Nice touch.
And with a quick driver's license photocopy I was out the door.
Quick, efficient, pleasant, brilliant!
Many retailers seem to get the whole service concept wrong.
Build relationships with your customers, treat them well, and they will come back.
Please keep up to these excellent service standards, and you will keep a very loyal base of customers.
